Introducing a special order item from ROCOCO that incorporates JAPAN BLUE JEANS's signature ultra-thick 16oz "Monster Denim" denim into a model commonly known as the Levi's 1st.

The 1st model is said to be the originator of the denim jacket, featuring two pleats on the front placket, a flap pocket on the left chest, and a belt on the back waist.

JAPAN BLUE JEANS
A denim brand with a textile manufacturer in Kojima, Okayama Prefecture, which boasts worldwide recognition as a famous denim production area. The brand started in 2011 with the aim of spreading the quality of MADE IN JAPAN DENIM overseas. The brand proposes jeans with a new sense of value, combining a silhouette recognized in Europe and the U.S. with the quality of domestic production.








Both heavy and comfortable
The fabric is made of 16oz heavy-weight denim. The fabric has a heavy texture, yet is woven slightly loose, making it soft and comfortable to the skin.

Another feature of this fabric is that it is composed of thicker yarns, which allows the color to fade more powerfully than normal denim. Enjoy the texture and aging of real vintage jeans.






Attention to Detail
The model commonly known as Levi's 1st features a pocket sewn with a separate fabric on the left chest only. The two pleats on the front placket create a sense of spaciousness and ensure ease of movement when worn.





A leather patch around the neck and JAPAN BLUE JEANS' original doughnut buttons are used for the buttons, giving it a finish with attention to detail.



In addition, the cinchback, a copper component that adjusts the fit and is a symbolic detail of the 1st, is deployed at the waist.



The selvedge, commonly known as "red line," is an indispensable feature of vintage jeans.

The selvedges were added to denim fabrics when they were woven on old looms in order to prevent the ends of the fabric from fraying.






A playful split back
The split back was used in vintage large sizes (46 inches and larger) to create a T-shape back.

Because of the limited fabric width of the denim looms of the time, large size jackets were made up of two pieces in the back. This two-piece design was playfully adopted for all sizes.

The body width is set about 1 inch (2.5 cm) wider with a vintage feel, and the slightly longer length creates a well-balanced silhouette that is easy to match with a variety of items.
