"SHINARI" focuses on the shoe-making technology that has continued at MOONSTAR's long-established Saga factory. The concept of "SHINARI" was developed based on the idea of "not adding anything, but seeking goodness through the characteristics of the materials and design.

This new line offers a new style of comfortable shoes that have been pursued for many years.


DUS method
The DUS (Direct Urethane Soling) method is one of the techniques MoonStar has continued to refine in order to produce comfortable shoes.

While most shoe manufacturing methods involve "sewing" or "gluing" the upper and sole together, this is a special manufacturing method where the sole is attached "directly" to the upper.

The liquid sole material adheres to the foot mold without gaps, causing a chemical reaction that simultaneously molds and glues the shoe to the foot, creating a sense of oneness between the shoe and the foot.
The heel patch, which is made of burrs produced during the molding process, has become an iconic part of the manufacturing process.Coexistence of Past and Present
The production incorporates many elements from the archives of MOONSTAR, which has been making Japanese footwear since the Meiji era. Designs acclaimed in the past are expressed with the sensibility of the present.

As the name suggests, ORIKATA has impressive straight lines like folding paper.

The ORIKATA is an exquisitely balanced design that successfully combines decorations reminiscent of Japan's unique "origami" style with the originally Western style of sneakers.
The cushioned footbed is covered with a mesh material that is switched to a mesh material toward the fingertips to reduce steam. The natural leather upper has a subdued luster, adding a touch of class to the footwear along with the design.Safe domestic production and reliable technology
SHINARI has been manufactured at the Saga Factory, which has been responsible for MoonStar's leather shoe production, including comfort shoes, walking shoes, and leather shoes for government use, since its establishment in 1956.

The factory has a reliable technology that has been delivering new products to the market using various shoe-making techniques such as cement, Mackay, and stitch-down methods, mainly using the DUS method.
