Inspired by the gansey jumpers made for fishermen This crew knit is inspired by the Gandhi sweater made for fishermen and infused with our own unique essence. The fabric is made from New Zealand merino wool, which is known for its high quality feel and warmth.
The Italian elbow patches add a touch of classic chic.
Carefully crafted in a Japanese knitwear factory with over half a century of history, it is inversely proportional, three-dimensionally shaped and soft to the touch, as opposed to the gussied-up gansey jumpers that are made in two dimensions.

Raised in stress-free conditions on vast grasslands, Australian Merino wool is the whitest, thinnest and most crimped of all sheep, with excellent elasticity and a distinctive sheen.

Elbow patches in Italian faux suede. The elbow patches are made of Italian faux suede, which is usually single-sided, but BRENA has chosen to use a double-sided faux suede, which is both high quality and durable.
This faux suede is also water resistant.


Unique shape born of rationality
The Gandhi jumper is The Gandhi jumper is a traditional fisherman's jumper from the island of Gandhi, between England and France, made for the men who work in the fierce sea.

The knitting has been altered to increase the range of movement in the neck, shoulders and arms. The side slits at the hem are also a point of interest.
This detail was conceived to shorten the length and tighten the fit, while ensuring ease of movement.
