The 2nd type jacket using heavy-weight Japanese selvedge denim made on Japan's first power loom, Toyoda Automatic Loom GL3, is now available. The vintage-like texture, modern silhouette, and attention to detail make this jacket a gem that will make even the most discerning American casual fan groan.

This power loom, which can weave warp yarns with extremely low tension, is called a "fantastic power loom. It is the oldest loom currently in use in Japan, and there are only a few of them in existence, and it is difficult to even operate them today because they require adjustments by craftsmen with many years of experience.

The 2nd's signature pleats and chest pockets are a must have. Pleats on the front and breast pocket. The "action pleats" not only look great, but also offer the advantage of easy movement.

Flap pockets on both chest pockets and a simple tab on the left pocket are accentuated by original MADE IN USA steel buttons and copper rivets.

Side adjusters, another typical detail of the 2nd type, allow you to adjust the waist. The back is tucked to create a rounded back silhouette. Simple but tasteful "rolled seams"
The main sewing parts, such as the sides, are "rolled seams". This is the traditional method of sewing used in traditional workwear and military wear. This sewing method is not only strong but also gives a nice puckering effect.
