"60/40" In 1968, Sierra Design gained international attention with the development of a revolutionary material. The name of the material was 60/40 (Rockyon Cloth), a durable, waterproof blend of cotton and nylon.
The more you wear it, the more it wears. 60/40 is a fabric that is woven with a golden ratio of 60% cotton in the weft and 40% nylon in the warp, and the more you wear it, the more it wears.
It is less stiff than 100% cotton and more resistant to abrasion than 100% nylon. When it absorbs moisture, the weft cotton yarn expands and seals the weave, making it waterproof and windproof.
