Warm British Knitsted Gloves Knitsted gloves spun from the raw wool of British black sheep. While simple, the wool material is very good and to the point. They are also durable and have excellent heat retention properties, and are popular as outdoor and town wear. The history of Black Sheep began in 1966 when Ms. Claire Hoare raised six sheep, the only British black sheep. The sheep were the Black Welsh Mountain Sheep, the only black sheep breed in the UK, which is considered to be the best of all sheep. The wool of this small black sheep is soft to the touch and is prized as pure natural oiled wool for its rustic color and excellent heat retention properties.
